Facilitating Remote Closings: Military members are often deployed or stationed far from the property they are buying or selling. Our loan signing agents (LSAs) bridge this gap by traveling to the service member’s location—whether at home, on base, or even in a hospital—to witness and notarize critical closing documents.
Expertise in Power of Attorney (POA): During deployments, a spouse often manages the entire home-buying process using a Power of Attorney. Professional LSAs are specifically trained to handle the complex signing requirements for POAs, ensuring the lender accepts the documents without delay.
Remote Online Notarization (RON): For those stationed overseas or in remote areas, Remote Online Notary (RON) services allow family members to participate in notarizations via secure video conferencing, eliminating the need for expensive travel or slow international mail.
Speed and Accuracy during PCS: A Permanent Change of Station (PCS) has tight deadlines. Our LSAs minimize the risk of post-signature errors, which can be higher than 25% with non-specialized notaries, ensuring the loan funds on time so the family can move in as planned.
Unlike civilian notaries, our veteran and military spouse ID cards grant us base access, allowing us to serve active-duty personnel in barracks across many bases, at Navy Medical Center Portsmouth, and even in piers.

More than half of U.S. states have passed laws allowing document notarizations to take place remotely - known as Remote Online Notarization (RON), or virtual notarization. Audio-visual technology, such as webcams and remote signature platforms, allow the notary and the signer to conduct the identification and verification process.
Just like our traditional notary publics, our remote notary services provide an impartial witness to the signing or authentication of a legal document. According to the National Notary Association, the duties of a notary are to screen the signers of important documents for their true identities; to sign the document they are witnessing without duress; and to be aware of the contents of the document.
An apostille is a government-issued authentication certifying that your personal or commercial documents are valid for use in foreign countries. This certification ensures that birth certificates, marriage certificates, and academic credentials are recognized in foreign countries.
Apostille certification is a critical "international passport" for documents, ensuring that U.S. legal papers are recognized as authentic in foreign countries. For military families, this certification is often the difference between a smooth transition and months of bureaucratic gridlock during overseas assignments or deployments.
Certification is mandatory for registering family members in host country systems, securing Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) documentation, and applying for dependent visas.
